The works on display will be by 39 artists from 18 different countries. With the patronage of the Culture Department of the Municipality of Rome, the Lazio Region, the Campania Region and the Suor Orsola Benincasa University of Naples.
Duality becomes whole and the parts, apparently opposite, support the unstable balance of the world and the dynamic development of history. The concept of the exhibition studies the interconnection and complementarity of opposites which makes "the whole" harmonious.

The exhibition, which welcomes 41 artists from 19 nations, aims to help the viewer to reveal the different semantic layers underlying the works of art, creating a kaleidoscopic game in which one is enriched by one's own free interpretations and those of others without judgement, without constraint , without theoretical frills. In this way, untold stories are discovered and the pieces are laid to build new ones.

A thought by Friedrich Schelling says: “Art must begin with awareness and end in the unconscious, that is, objectively; the Ego is conscious with respect to production, unconscious with respect to the product.” Art is the subliminal expression of our ego, but these two small words, which grammatically represent the first person of the verb to be in the active form, identify the firm will of the human being to establish his own identity, position, recognizing himself in his own story, with what he experienced and achieved from life. The artists participating in this contemporary art exhibition will represent their thoughts on this topic with their creations, either addressed to themselves or by identifying something or someone.

From 16 to 19 February with ArteGenova the city hosts, for the fourteenth consecutive year, in the Blue Pavilion of the exhibition centre, four days of exhibitions, events, presentations for a total immersion in modern and contemporary art: from that already consecrated to that emerging, with works capable of tickling the most attentive collectors and stimulating the instinct of discovery in many enthusiasts. Around 150 exhibitors were present with the works of over a thousand artists; an entire section, C.A.T.S. - Contemporary Art Talent Show, dedicated to emerging talents with works under five thousand euros.

The celebration of the 20 editions of the National Contemporary Art Competition - SaturARTE, more than a recognition for SATURA art gallery, which last year celebrated its twentieth anniversary of activity, is proof of the role played in recent years in research and promotion of talented artists.
The event sees the participation of 200 national and international artists selected from over 1000 registrations from all over Italy.

On Friday 21st November, an important exhibition of contemporary art opens in Milan which hosts the work of great masters, cornerstones of our cultural history and inspiring visionaries of today's collective imagination, in comparison and in a synergistic interpretative relationship with the new talents of the current expressive scene.
Present in the “Derive” exhibition are exponents of Spatialism and Noveau Realism such as Roberto Crippa and Mimmo Rotella and other new talents and established masters: Paolo Baratella, bLuigino, Maria Cristina Carlini, Giuseppe Dimaria, Lucio Forte, Martin Gerull, Giuliana Giuliani, Ibrahim Kodra, Paolo La Bruna, Corrado Levi, Jacopo Marchi, Rita Minelli, Valeria Morasso, Emanuele Scilleri, Giampiero Steri, Ivan Todaro, Erika Trojer and Ines Zingarelli.
The exhibition takes place in the historic "via degli antiquari", at the Plaumann Art Gallery located in the heart of Milan, between the Duomo, the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana and Piazza Affari, in an ideal setting for a major event.
Inauguration with refreshments on Friday 21st at 6pm in via Santa Marta 8.
It can be visited until 4 December at the following times: Tue-Sat 10am-1pm, 2.30pm-6pm.

SATURA International Contest

With Satura International Contest we intend to aim for an idea of art "broadened" and cleared in all its genre boundaries, in a historical period that recognizes in artists, as well as in non-practicing art users, the increasingly aimed at positioning themselves among the ranks of those who are capable of moving at least a thread beyond the perimeter - useful, but still restrictive - traced by symbolic-communicative resources cultivated in an indigenous way. The ball passes to painters and photographers, invited to really get involved, even by overriding, challenging or rewriting the rules of a comforting national visual culture. For an art that is a little more stateless, and a little more aware of being a citizen of the world. In Genoa.

Active with wide-ranging cultural initiatives and events on the Italian and international scene, SATURA has always combined the presence of already established contemporary authors with the promotion of works by talented young artists.
With SaturaPrize the Association continues with the aim of encouraging new movements by broadening its horizons to a European scenario and at the same time encouraging comparison between emerging personalities and their respective cultures of belonging.
The competition therefore presents itself as a unique opportunity for visibility for young people, whose work will be presented to enthusiasts, collectors and operators in the sector.
